Sinhgad Institute of Management and Computer Application (SIMCA) is one of the pioneer management institutes in the state of Maharashtra. The college was founded in 2004 as a part of the Conglomerate Sinhgad Technical Education Society, founded in 1993 by Prof. M N Navale.
SIMCA is accredited by NAAC with A grade and affiliated by Savitribai Phule Pune University. The course offered by the college has been approved by AICTE and also recognized by the Government of Maharashtra.
Courses at SIMCA Pune are offered at the postgraduate level only. The institute offers an MBA course with the option of different specializations and MCA. The courses at SIMCA are designed and developed in such a way to provide that competency to the students with which they can become skilled professional leaders for the business world and college got success in doing this through its structured learning systems.
Admission in PG courses at SIMCA, the candidate needs to have a Bachelor's degree with good academic records in any relevant discipline. Selection to any of the courses offered by the institute depends on the valid score of the Entrance test.
SIMCA has a dedicated placement cell to fill the gap between the corporate world and the students. The cell is also a point of contact for all companies interested in recruiting students in their organizations. SIMCA Placement cell facilitates the placement procedure from the pre-placement talks (PPT) to the induction process. They organize some activities to groom the personality of the students such as communication skills, personality development, aptitude training, technical training, team building and group discussion/personal interview.
